Responsibilities:

This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus; 50% to be paid on first pay period following hire date and the remaining 50% to be paid on the first pay period following the completion of six months of employment.
• Prior Employment Restriction: All potential recipients cannot have been employed within the UC System for the past 12 months in order to qualify for the hiring bonus.

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is directly responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient nuclear medicine department using radioactive isotopes for enhanced diagnostic imaging. He/she is responsible for performing all nuclear medicine procedures.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Registered and licensed by the American Registry of Nuclear Medicine Technology and the State of California.
CPR Certification Required.

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years progressively more responsible experience nuclear medicine related program/job.
• PET experience
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
