Job Summary:The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas. This role supports kitchen operations by ensuring all items are properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and sanitizers
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area and kitchen floors
- Remove trash and dispose of waste properly
- Assist with basic cleaning duties in the kitchen as needed
- Organize and store clean dishes and equipment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (GMPs)
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a wet and humid environment
- Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive motions
- Kitchen or food production facility
- Exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, and hot surfaces
- Fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment at all times
- Support kitchen staff by ensuring timely availability of clean items
- Follow all safety and sanitation standards
- Work efficiently to keep up with kitchen demands
