You will partner directly with senior leaders in product, infrastructure, engineering, and data science to define and execute a comprehensive cloud security strategy that protects FOX’s digital services at scale. This is a hybrid leadership role that combines deep hands-on technical expertise with strategic managerial acumen. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves to solve complex problems, mentor and guide engineering teams, and set the long-term vision for secure cloud infrastructure.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Technical Oversight
Define and own FOX's digital security vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives and the broader enterprise security posture.
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders on cloud security risks, architecture decisions, and secure digital transformation.
Build and lead a high-performing team of cloud security engineers, while maintaining hands-on involvement in critical design and implementation work.
Influence engineering and DevOps roadmaps to embed security-by-design and scalable guardrails across CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
Architecture & Engineering

Maintain technical ownership of security tooling and automation pipelines to detect, respond to, and remediate threats in real-time.
Security Operations & Incident Response
Provide executive guidance and coordination during cloud-related incidents and vulnerability response efforts.
Drive continuous improvement in detection engineering, monitoring, and forensic readiness using SIEM, WAF, DDoS, and custom tooling.
Lead and liaise threat modeling, penetration testing, and policy enforcement across multiple cloud environments and workloads.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Define secure cloud operating models aligned to frameworks such as NIST CSF, OWASP, SLSA, and Zero Trust.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, CCPA) through secure infrastructure design and operational rigor.
Serve as the technical liaison for internal and external audits related to cloud security posture.
Collaboration and Enablement
Embed with application, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure security is integrated into the entire software development lifecycle.
Evangelize cloud security best practices across FOX through education, documentation, and tooling.
Champion efforts to reduce overly broad permissions while preserving engineering velocity and system resilience.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
12+ years of experience in cybersecurity with 3+ years in cloud security engineering leadership roles.
Demonstrated experience leading security functions for direct-to-consumer digital platforms or streaming services.
Proven track record of building and leading high-performing security engineering teams in large-scale cloud-native environments.

Hands-on proficiency in building secure automation and tooling using Python, Golang, or equivalent.
Deep experience with cloud-native detection and response tools, SIEM platforms, and cloud infrastructure observability.
Mastery of Linux system administration, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps pipelines.
Thorough understanding of DNS, CDN, and application-layer defenses for modern web platforms.
