You’ll partner closely with cross-functional leaders to shape strategy, drive execution, and build a healthy, high-performing team. This role is ideal for a people-first leader with strong product sense, deep technical judgment, data-driven mindset and an AI-native approach to working. What you’ll do: Lead and grow a cross-functional engineering team working across user-facing product areas and the systems that support them. Set clear goals and drive execution against a roadmap aligned with broader product and business priorities. Partner with Product, Design, Research, and Data Science to shape strategy, prioritize opportunities, and deliver measurable outcomes. Create a strong team environment with clear expectations, healthy operating rhythms, high standards, and psychological safety. Coach and develop engineers across levels, helping them grow in scope, impact, and career progression. Support technical and architectural decision-making to ensure the team builds reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems. Use data, experimentation, and user insight to guide product and engineering decisions. Use AI to accelerate analysis, research, drafting, synthesis, and iteration, while applying strong judgment and verification to ensure quality and correctness. What we’re looking for: 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing teams of 5+ engineers. Experience leading engineering teams that build and ship consumer-facing products. Experience managing engineers across multiple levels and helping teams improve in effectiveness, quality, and impact. Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, feedback, performance management, and team development. Strong product sense and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate broad goals into clear priorities and execution plans. Solid technical foundation and the ability to engage in architecture, design reviews, and technical trade-offs. Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, align cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver meaningful results. Expertise in using data and experimentation to inform product and engineering decisions. Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in day-to-day work for relevant outputs. Strong track record of critically evaluating and verifying AI-assisted work through testing, review, or other quality controls. High integrity and ownership in using AI: you protect sensitive information, avoid over-reliance on AI, and remain accountable for final decisions and deliverables. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with Product, Design, Research, Data Science, and other engineering teams. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Relocation Statement: This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. What this looks like day-to-day can vary based on the needs of each organization or role. This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months.
