Medical Assistant

Will be responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience from the beginning to the end of the appointment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dermatology and skin care, provide excellent customer service skills, be reliable and professional, and enjoy creating relationships with patients and other staff members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Introduce the patient to our office staff and medical provider.
- Front desk help answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, and taking accurate messages.
- Participate in phone calls with patients regarding post-procedure care, prescriptions, and other patient questions.
- Check messages and return calls in a timely manner.
- Process patient payments, and check insurance coverage.
- Ensure all exam rooms are up to par with medical standards throughout the day.
- Assist the doctor with notes using the iPad to scribe in the electronic medical record.
- Assist the doctor with procedures and surgeries, including drawing up syringes, and assisting with laser/surgical procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested by management.
- Protect patient confidentiality, making sure protected health information is secure.
- Sterilizing and cleaning instruments, patient gown/sheet laundry.
Musts:
- Bachelor's degree or finishing up Bachelor's degree.
- Maintains an appropriate appearance that reflects positively and professionally.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Exceptional customer service & organizational skills.
- Sense of humor and positive attitude.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
