At Parkade, we're transforming how private parking works — creating a world where every spot can be reserved and shared at the push of a button. Hundreds of buildings already use Parkade to manage parking, and we’ve only scratched the surface of a $5B market.

We’re now scaling to bring Parkade to every apartment, condo, and office building in the U.S., and we’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who thrives on ownership, product impact, and solving complex problems with elegant solutions.

We are ideally hiring for hybrid, in-office 2/3x per week at our San Francisco (Mission) HQ. We are open to remote for the right match.

What You’ll Do

You’ll join a small, senior team improving how buildings and cities use space — starting with parking. Your work will directly shape how our customers and internal teams experience Parkade’s products.

In this role, you will:

• Build and maintain high-quality web applications using React and TypeScript , with a focus on performance, scalability, and clean architecture.

• Lead front-end architectural decisions — including component design, shared libraries, and multi-project repo organization.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to build intuitive, accessible user experiences across internal and external products.

• Take ownership of major projects like our Admin App , used internally by Parkade employees.

• Improve tools used by property managers and public-facing features that impact real customers.

• Shape front-end standards, tooling, and deployment practices (e.g., CI/CD, testing frameworks, code reviews).
  

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional front-end experience — ideally in TypeScript + React web apps (not CMS or marketing sites).

• A proven ability to design, build, and scale complex products — ideally B2C or multi-audience systems.

• Experience working in startup or enterprise environments with high ownership and fast iteration.

• Familiarity with shared component systems, design systems, and monorepo/multi-repo setups.

• Comfort making architectural tradeoffs and implementing long-term solutions that balance speed and maintainability.

• Strong communication skills — able to collaborate as a peer across Engineering, Product, and Design.

• (Bonus) Experience with Python or backend services, and deploying to AWS or Google Cloud.

• (Bonus) You’ve built something from the ground up — whether a startup, open-source project, or internal platform.
  

What You’ll Work On First

Your first focus will be modernizing and improving our internal Admin App , a mission-critical internal tool. You’ll quickly move into broader feature development across our property manager and public-facing web products.

Interview Process

1. Intro conversation with our Talent Lead

2. Video interview with our CTO

3. 1-hour live coding challenge with Staff Engineer

4. Architecture deep dive with Sr. Engineer (focus on systems thinking and decision-making), and design interview with our Product Designer

5. Final onsite to meet the team

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $150,000–$180,000 , depending on experience and location (Bay Area, LA, NY, Seattle on higher end)
