Cost Accountant (Temporary Project)
Location: 100% Remote
We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant for a temporary, project-based engagement. This role is ideal for someone who can step in quickly, leverage strong NetSuite expertise, and support key cost accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and maintain standard costs, including updates and variance analysis
- Review and reconcile inventory, COGS, and related accounts
- Partner with operations to evaluate cost drivers and identify efficiencies
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Generate and analyze cost reports, providing insights to leadership
- Support process improvements and system optimization within NetSuite
Qualifications
- Strong cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or product-based environment
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (required)
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting and quickly get up to speed
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
