Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA
Type: Contract
Compensation: $70-77/hr
Responsibilities
- Support New Product development projects by leading and executing the purchase, assembly, installation, and testing of custom or off the shelf manufacturing equipment and fixtures.
- Develop custom inspection fixtures/equipment including mechanical setup, LabView software development, and machine learning.
- Author manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, attribute charts, PPAP documents.
- Create prints for components used for product repair.
- Coordinate and troubleshoot incoming inspection / FAI of product components.
- Set up manufacturing lines for product repair and inspection.
- Apply engineering knowledge independently to problem-solve technical and non-technical issues.
- Experience with building and testing fixtures and equipment.
- Experience authoring manufacturing documents.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and support supporting manufacturing lines.
- Strong problem-solving skills (technical and non-technical).
- Fluent in reading prints (components, custom fixtures, etc.).
- Strong writing and documentation skills.
- Experience with assembly and testing of fixtures/equipment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organization skills.
- Preferred: LabVIEW or TestStand experience.
- Preferred: Medical device experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in engineering or equivalent.
