Experience of Care Specialist II
IDR is seeking a Experience of Care Specialist II to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in San Diego, CA. This role is within the healthcare industry, focusing on managing patient complaints, grievances, and appeals to enhance quality-of-care initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Position Overview for the Experience of Care Specialist II:
- Manage and resolve formal patient complaints, grievances, and appeals in accordance with CMS, Joint Commission, and organizational policies.
- Conduct detailed investigations into quality-of-care and service-related concerns.
- Draft and send formal grievance responses to patients and families.
- Collaborate closely with clinical leadership, Legal, Risk Management, and Quality teams.
- Ensure all regulatory timelines and documentation standards are met, maintaining professionalism and discretion in high-conflict situations.
Requirements for the Experience of Care Specialist II:
- Experience handling patient complaints, grievances, or appeals in a healthcare setting.
- Working knowledge of CMS and Joint Commission grievance requirements.
- Strong written communication skills, including drafting formal patient correspondence.
- Ability to manage high-conflict situations with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience collaborating with clinical, legal, or risk management partners.
