Under the general direction of the Program Manager of Broadband Regional Initiatives (BRI) branch, the Staff Services Manager II (specialist) functions as a high-level non-supervisory specialist who is responsible for handling difficult and sensitive program development, policy, and coordination. Including planning, organizing, and directing the work of two interdisciplinary groups of professional staff charged with the responsibility of advising, coordinating, and analysis for a broad range program activities, including problem identification, program planning, project development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation related to the BRI programs. The incumbent participates in program policy decisions and speaks for the Program Manager in important internet and external meetings. Limited-term position. May become permanent.
