Key Responsibilities Own and support key components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Maintain and improve general ledger accuracy across a high-volume, multi-entity environment Analyze close timelines and identify opportunities to reduce cycle time and increase efficiency Lead and support process improvement initiatives, including automation, standardization, and system enhancements Develop and implement templates, tools, and workflows to streamline accounting processes Partner cross-functionally with finance and operations teams to improve data accuracy and reporting Support internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Prepare and analyze financial data, including variance analysis and flux explanations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4 years of progressive accounting experience; experience in large, high-volume companies strongly preferred Strong general ledger and close process experience, ideally within a fast-paced environment with tight close timelines (2–3 day close experience preferred) Proven track record of process improvement, automation, or system implementation Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs; Power Query or VBA strongly preferred) Experience with large ERP systems required Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, or SQL is a strong plus CPA or CPA track is highly preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
