Payroll Clerk Requirements

• Previous experience as a Payroll Clerk, Administrative Assistant and/or Receptionist in a Skilled Nursing Facility, or similar work environment, is preferred but not required
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster shots
• Diploma/BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
• Experience with ADP payroll systems
• Experience with Excel spreadsheets
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues

Primary Payroll Clerk Responsibilities

• Compiles hours worked from time sheets and other records
• Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, and submits to payroll vendor
• Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
• Monitors missed punches, missed meal breaks, and interrupted mean periods and reports to Administrator
• Produces daily timekeeping and overtime reports for the Administrator
• Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments
• Keeps records of leave pay and nontaxable wages
• Distributes paychecks
• Processes workers’ compensation claims, assuring claims are promptly reported and paperwork is completed in a timely manner
• Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, creating folders, photocopying, collating, etc
• Performs other duties or functions as assigned by the Administrator

PAY SCALE:

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
