DEPARTMENT: Production

POSITION ACCOUNTABLE TO: Production Manager

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)

JOB SUMMARY: The candidate offered this entry level position will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a high level of attention to detail. As a Production Support team member, you will be responsible and accountable for supporting key members when needed. The right individual demonstrates a strong work ethic, is a team player, possesses a high-energy “can do” attitude, and is eager to hone a variety of skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Inspection of Parts: Receiving, In-Process, and Final

· Ensure production schedule meets customer due date

· Assist in the processing of production orders

· Perform quality assurance activities throughout all stages of production

· Receive and inspect customer product for processing including but not limited to:

• Greeting customers at the service counter
• Receiving shipments from UPS, FedEx, etc.
• Purchase Order Verification (part number, quantity, etc.)
• Visual Inspection (part damage, previous processing, etc.)
• Verify part quantity
• Stage receiving shelves
• Maintain part identification and traceability

· Ensues paperwork is complete and maintained as required by internal procedures.

· Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and work-flow of the receiving area.

· Seeks the opportunity to learn new skills and cross-train into various departments.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

o Ability to read and write in English

o Legible handwriting

o Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously

o Read blueprints

o Use inspection equipment (calipers, micrometer, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages)

o Detail-oriented

o Basic computer skills

o Basic mathematics skills

o Must be able to work independently with little supervision after completion of the training period

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

o Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time

o Must be willing to wear a respirator for most of shift

o Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as needed

OPTIONAL SKILLS:

o Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

o Experience preferred, but not required (will train the right individual)

o Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume position (i.e., barista, short-order cook, busboy, etc.) a plus

o High School Diploma or equivalent
