Inventory Control Specialist POST NUMBER: 161818

Position Overview: Our client in Santa Ana is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to support day-to-day inventory operations and ensure accuracy across systems and processes. This role plays a key part in maintaining optimal stock levels, improving efficiency, and partnering closely with operations and supply chain teams. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across the warehouse Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits; investigate and resolve discrepancies Track inventory movement including receiving, transfers, and shipments Reconcile inventory data between systems and physical counts Analyze inventory trends and provide recommendations for process improvements Partner with purchasing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure product availability Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of inventory transactions Identify and implement process improvements to reduce loss and increase efficiency Support inventory system updates and data integrity Qualifications: 2 years of inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain experience Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP a plus) Experience with ERP or inventory systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred: Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments Familiarity with cycle counting and audit processes What Success Looks Like: High inventory accuracy and minimal discrepancies Timely resolution of inventory issues Improved processes that increase efficiency and reduce shrinkage Strong collaboration across teams Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
