• Weekly Pay Range: $1680 - $1730 per week (estimated)

ER RN Job Details – Houston, TX

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Locum Tenens / Travel Contract
• Location: Houston, TX 77090 (Houston healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Freestanding Emergency Department
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (August 21, 2025 – November 20, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (13:00 – 01:00), 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 2 weekend shifts every 2 weeks
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

ER Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience in a main ER setting
• Experience in a designated trauma facility preferred
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and NRP certifications required
• Proficiency with Lucas Device, Nurse-run Lab, Ventilator, CPAP/BiPap, Blanketrol, Lifepack 15 preferred
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients with limited staff
• Experience with lab equipment (Picolo, Istat, Triage Meter, ID Now, Clinitek) preferred
• Paramedic License/Certification a plus

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a 9-bed freestanding ER
• Perform advanced procedures: chest tube placement, intubations, conscious sedation, wound repair, splinting, nebulizer treatments, and ventilator management
• Stabilize and transfer high-acuity patients in collaboration with a skilled healthcare team
• Document patient care using Meditech EMR
• Maintain compliance with emergency department policies and clinical guidelines
• Demonstrate adaptability, teamwork, and strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment
