About the Role:
Kings River Packing is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting Team. This role plays a key part in the invoice coding and payment process while supporting overall finance operations. The Accounts Payable Specialist will oversee vendor accounts, process and code invoices, issue payments, and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, ensures compliance with approvals and tax requirements, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll Do:
· Maintain accurate and current vendor account information.
· Organize and code invoices.
· Process vendor payments weekly, and as needed throughout the week.
· Maintain filing of paid invoices for document retention.
· Review and code monthly credit card statements.
· Ensure proper sales tax is charged by vendors.
· Match invoices with appropriate backup.
· Obtain proper approvals.
· Review vendor statements.
· Prepare credit applications.
· Additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
· 2+ years accounts payable/accounting experience preferred
· High school diploma/GED required, some college preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)
· Strong organizational skills
· Alignment with the company’s mission and core values
· Team-oriented, service-focused attitude
· Flexibility in duties and assignments
· Ability to work occasional overtime
Physical Demands & Abilities
· Must be able to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
· Occasionally required to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds
