Senior Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper is a vital, full-time, on-site role based in Paso Robles, responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of NCI’s financial operations. This position offers the chance to directly support NCI’s mission of "Building Partnerships and Creating Choices" for those served by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, including management of the general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, cash, sales, and payroll accounts.
• Review contracts, process monthly billing, and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely payments.
• Prepare and submit Social Security reports and sales tax returns on a monthly basis.
• Assist supervisors with processing and managing employee timecards.
• Maintain accurate and timely financial records and reporting in compliance with organizational standards.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support overall financial operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of professional bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop version).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Valid California driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ongoing proof of auto insurance (driving is required for this position). Driving is required for this position.
• Ability to pass required background checks as mandated by state and federal regulations.

Compensation

$27 to $29 per hour , with an expected starting pay of $27 per hour, depending on experience.
