Estimator Construction

The Estimator Construction will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to prepare precise cost estimates, analyze blueprints, and evaluate project specifications. Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on plans, specifications, and vendor quotes.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documents to understand project requirements and scope.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
- Develop and maintain a database of costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors to support estimation accuracy.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential cost overruns and suggest cost-saving measures.
- Review bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers for accuracy and feasibility.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and provide input on project feasibility and budget considerations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a construction estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor costs.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
