The Role

We seek a talented developer experienced in the Shopify ecosystem. While NYC, Toronto, or San Francisco are preferred locations, remote work within the North American EST time zone is acceptable for the right candidate. The role involves crafting engaging and high-performance ecommerce experiences to delight customers and increase conversions and order values.

This unique position combines strategic product management with hands-on software development to enhance our digital commerce across enterprise and DTC segments. If you are a developer interested in product management, with technical fluency, curiosity, strong communication, design sense, and user empathy, this role is ideal.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Product management: defining strategy, creating roadmaps, prioritizing features, collaborating with stakeholders.
2. Development: coding, implementing features, participating in QA, and technical execution.

The ideal candidate has a background in product, growth, or analytics at a high-growth ecommerce startup or agency, with software development skills to bring ideas to life. Experience working with designers and developers to launch impactful ecommerce experiences is essential, along with data-driven decision-making, technical collaboration skills, and a keen eye for detail.

You will contribute to all aspects of software development, from architecture to documentation.

In Your First 90 Days

• Own the digital product roadmap and backlog
• Refine sprint planning for maximum impact
• Assess and improve existing site experience
• Develop and ship new features
• Estimate development costs for prioritization

Day To Day

• Manage ecommerce roadmap, write specs, coordinate with design and development teams
• Assess project requirements and technical feasibility
• Monitor key metrics like AOV, CVR, RPV, and site speed
• Gather user feedback and analyze data for feature prioritization
• Contribute code, analyze architecture, and ensure quality
• Translate Figma designs into functional ecommerce features
• Follow design and code standards, optimize for speed and scalability
• Maintain and troubleshoot the codebase, support QA testing

What We're Looking For

• Expertise in Shopify Plus and Shopify ecosystem
• Proficiency with Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+
• Experience with frameworks like Node.js, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, Vue
• Version control and API experience (Git, REST)
• Ability to create responsive, user-friendly layouts
• Knowledge of web performance optimization
• Experience estimating project costs and validating specs
• Attention to detail in design and code
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and automation tools
• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
• Data-driven approach to product planning
• Excellent communication skills
