Warehouse Manager
Overview
The Warehouse Manager oversees and manages the daily operations of the warehouse. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a variety of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a clear understanding of inventory management, and the ability to implement best practices to improve warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures
- Manage inventory control, including receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment
- Lead and train warehouse staff to promote a high-performance culture
- Analyze warehouse performance metrics and report findings to upper management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics and supply chain functions
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to resolve issues and improve delivery times
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role
- Proven track record of managing warehouse operations effectively
- Strong understanding of inventory control and logistics procedures
- Experience in managing a team and driving performance
Preferred Requirements
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management
- Experience with Lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Familiarity with hazardous materials and safety protocols
- Previous experience with budget management and cost control
