Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a self-motivated Service Technician for a direct hire opportunity based in Chino, CA, supporting automatic door service work throughout Southern California. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, has basic electronic knowledge, and is interested in building a long-term trade career in automatic door installation, repair, and maintenance.

The Service Technician will travel to customer sites such as grocery stores, hotels, commercial buildings, and other facilities to service automatic doors from a variety of manufacturers. This is a strong opportunity for a dependable technician who enjoys hands-on work, field service, problem solving, and working independently with support from an experienced office and technical team.

This role offers stability, training support, a company vehicle, and the opportunity to develop specialized skills in a valuable commercial service trade.

Key Responsibilities

- Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automatic doors at customer locations throughout Southern California.
- Respond to service needs at commercial and public-facing facilities such as grocery stores, hotels, and similar locations.
- Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues and perform appropriate repairs or adjustments.
- Work with a variety of automatic door manufacturers, systems, and components.
- Communicate professionally with customers, office staff, and technical support resources.
- Maintain safe work practices, accurate service documentation, and proper care of the company vehicle and tools.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $22.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Hours may vary depending on job locations and customer service needs, generally between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- Company vehicle provided.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Service automatic doors at customer sites across Southern California.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electronic issues in the field.
- Perform repairs, adjustments, and maintenance on automatic door systems.
- Travel between customer locations using a company vehicle.

- 1 to 2 years of related hands-on service, maintenance, repair, mechanical, or technical experience preferred.
- Basic electronic knowledge required.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to use tools and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Clean driving record required, as this role includes driving a company vehicle.
- General knowledge of Southern California cities and service areas is helpful.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Willingness to learn the automatic door trade with technical assistance from the office team.
- Professional communication skills and customer service mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

- AAADM Certification from the American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience servicing automatic doors, commercial doors, storefront doors, sensors, operators, or related access systems is a plus.
- Field service experience in commercial, retail, hospitality, construction, installation, maintenance, or repair environments is helpful.
