Psychiatric Account Manager

The Psychiatric Account Manager is responsible for building relationships with recognized experts, and prioritized stakeholders in the therapeutic area, Community Mental Health Clinics, hospital/institutional systems and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
The successful Psychiatric Account Manager will:
- Develop and drive the relationship with target institutions and community accounts, including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with key influencers and decision makers within the accounts
- Achieve success in a complex, matrixed selling environment in which the need for collaboration and cross-functional discipline is critical. Cross-functional partners may consist of Account Partners, Market Access, Medical, Marketing and Operations colleagues
- Develop a strong, collaborative partnership with field-based colleagues to ensure the appropriate level of cross-functional support for customers within a defined geography and for developing and executing pull-through strategies.
- Identify key influencers and achieve designated customer interaction expectations with a focus on top target customers.
- Use data tools and insights, and other informational sources to determine strategies and tactics for business decision-making.
- Demonstrate account-based selling skills (including group presentations, etc.). Build relationships in institutions aligned with customer segmentation.
- Plan and organize activities to ensure regular and consistent coverage of the territory according to a plan of action.
- Deliver clinical brand specific presentations of product(s) to physicians and other appropriate health care professionals.
- Develop deep product and competitor knowledge and understanding of local and regional market trends.
- Manage territory budget to support sales and marketing activities.
- Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner
- Execute the company brand strategy and tactics within their assigned geographic area.
- Participation in training and development programs.
- Maintain adherence and compliance with all corporate, industry policies and procedures.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required; Life Sciences preferred.
- 5+ years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Healthcare industry experience required.
- Psychiatric experience is required. A working knowledge of the Schizophrenia field is strongly preferred
- CMHC account management and/or Hospital/Institutional experience strongly preferred.
- Established relationships in the geography is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of formulary approval process and driving formulary approvals is preferred.
- Must live near to territory boundaries
- Proven track record of success in a high science competitive selling environment.
- Ability to identify key decision makers, develop positive relationships and strong customer dedication.
- Proven track record of success in exceeding results.
- Self-starter, highly motivated to succeed.
- Strong communication, business analytics and account management skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $140,000k to $147,5000k. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
