Manager, DC Operations

Opportunity Information:

The DC Operations Manager partners with the DC Director and other managers within the Distribution Center to develop, implement and maintain strategies that drive continuous improvement and improve the operational function of the Distribution Center.

Additionally, the DC Operations Manager must be knowledgeable in all facets of the Distribution Center (DC), overseeing one or more of the following areas: Inbound Operations (Receiving and Reclamation), Replenishment, Outbound Operations (Selection, Shipping and PDQ, E-Commerce), Transportation, Customer Service Associates, and General Office Associates.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with DC General Manager / DC Director and other managers to discuss and review work methods, procedures, staffing, volume of work and short-term and long-term results.

  • Complete budget and monitor staffing needs for the Distribution Center.

  • Maintain a strong working relationship with management team and corporate partners.

  • Coach, train and develop management team by providing both informal and formal performance-based feedback.

  • Consistently monitor all safety procedures and ensure that all corresponding personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervisory and time management skills.

  • Microsoft Office.

  • AS/400.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

  • Eligible to work in the Unites States.

  • At least 5 years of prior leadership experience in a warehouse related field.

  • Knowledge of AS/400 and all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).

  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays when needed.

Ideal Candidates

  • Comfortable with all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

  • Extremely organized and demonstrates the ability to prioritize effectively.

  • Understands staffing requirements within designated department.

  • Knowledge of AS/400.

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

  • Have excellent multitasking ability

  • Willingness to continue to evolve and develop personal skills to meet the changing environment.

  • Demonstrated self-starter and motivated individual.

  • Has a general knowledge about all aspects of the Distribution Center.

Education

  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.

Certificates, Licenses

  • Willing to get powered equipment certification.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Location Type: On-Site Pay Range: USD $90,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
