Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Credentialing/Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Unit sergeant, this mission critical, Analyst II position is responsible for supporting the statewide coordination and administrative process of the California Highway Patrol Registration Enforcement and Guidance (CHP REG) program and activities related to the regulation promulgation process. The Analyst II provides technical input to formulate program policies and procedures, evaluates program-related alternatives, and makes recommendations on a broad spectrum of administrative and program-related issues. The Analyst II reviews and analyzes proposed legislation and program-related data, and advises management on the impact or potential impact, as well as prepares reports on program-related issues. The Analyst II coordinates program-related projects with representatives of government agencies; represents the Department as assigned, and perform other related duties.

Working Conditions

The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting. An assigned workspace is provided.

The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) serves as documentation of each applicant's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.   3. You are processing a report for registration fees collected by a California Highway Patrol Area. The report indicates fees were collected for three pickup trucks, seven cars, and two motorcycles.

    The rate for each pickup truck is $473.28, for each car is $248.88, and for each motorcycle is $135.02. The report indicates $3,162 in fees were collected. You have documents indicating the correct amount of fees was collected for each of the vehicles on the report.
