Machine learning (San Francisco)

This role is responsible for designing and implementing algorithm solutions, including fusing data from customers, applying analytics models, and delivering valuable results. The Machine Learning Engineer will collaborate with data scientists, Big Data teams, Java teams, project managers, and backend engineers to gather requirements, understand performance, and identify usage patterns.

Minimum Qualifications

1. S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
2. Strong fundamentals in computer science, debugging, and algorithms
3. Experience developing significant codebases and integrating libraries/frameworks
4. Proven experience in recommendations and information retrieval algorithms
5. Interest and experience in machine learning, AI, and real-world data sets
6. Strong background in Data Science Models
7. Ability to develop scalable data processing pipelines
8. Collaborate effectively with AI scientists and engineers
9. Proficient in managing and analyzing complex datasets using SQL or map-reduce
10. Production-level coding in Python, C/C++, Java or similar
11. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), including storage and compute services
12. Familiarity with big data frameworks like Cassandra, Spark, Hadoop
13. Knowledge of ML lifecycle tools such as MLflow, FBLearner, TFX, Michelangelo
14. Ability to succeed in ambiguous situations
15. Experience with industrial analytics applications in a commercial setting
16. Knowledge of virtualization and containerization (Kubernetes/Docker)
17. Familiarity with analytics frameworks like TensorFlow, Sci-kit learn, Spark, R, Python, MATLAB
18. Persistence and determination in experimental work
