Chief Scientist (Los Angeles)

Key Responsibilities：

1. Scientific Research Strategy & Direction
2. Formulate mid-to-long term research plans for the research institute, focusing on cutting-edge AI fields including large language models, multimodal learning, reinforcement learning, and AI for Science, to maintain technological leadership.
3. Promote interdisciplinary collaborative innovation and establish joint research mechanisms with universities, enterprises, and laboratories.
4. Team Management & Talent Development
5. Build and lead a high-caliber research team, optimize talent structure, and mentor young scientists.
6. Establish an efficient research management system to enhance team collaboration efficiency and innovation capacity.
7. Academic Influence Building
8. Publish research outcomes in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, etc.) and journals to elevate the institute’s academic reputation.
9. Expand the international academic cooperation network and lead academic events such as workshops, competitions, and seminars.
10. Cross-Departmental Collaboration
11. Coordinate with technical, product, and commercial teams to drive the industrialization and application of research achievements.
12. Establish joint laboratories with leading industry enterprises to promote co-construction of the technological ecosystem.

Job Requirements：

1. Academic Background

• PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• 10+ years of research experience with working experience at world-class universities, laboratories, or corporate research institutes.
• Published 20+ papers in top-tier journals/conferences (including Nature sub-journals, TPAMI, NeurIPS, etc.), or led major key research projects.
• International academic influence is highly preferred, such as serving as conference chair, journal editorial board member, IEEE/ACM Fellow, etc.

2.Management Experience

• 5+ years of experience managing research teams (team size ≥ 20), with expertise in interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Successfully led national-level or enterprise-level major research projects.

3.Soft Skills

• Sharp industry insight and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and resource integration capabilities.
• Experience as a committee member of international academic organizations or Area Chair for top conferences.
• Background in entrepreneurship or technology industrialization
