• Must haves on the resume: lab experience (bench top equipment, including balances and stir plates for formulating buffers and simple solutions. Experience with heat sealers and/or ultrasonic welders or equivalent is PREFERRED)

Job Overview
Responsible for supporting the formulation and assembly of products for R&D. This includes both buffer and simple solution formulations in addition to operation of assembly equipment such as heat sealers and ultrasonic welders. This role also includes lab maintenance and organization, data entry, and file maintenance. Responsibilities and Duties may additionally include general lab cleaning including lab supplies and glassware, generating labels from templates and labeling/packaging materials, and curating reagent and material inventories.

Experience Required

Qualifications: Minimum Education/Experience: High school degree with technical certification in the area of laboratory operations plus 1 year laboratory experience, AS degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year laboratory experience, or BS degree in a scientific discipline

Skills & Certifications

Basic Skills:
o Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
o Must be detail-oriented
o Strong time management skills required
Proficient/Working Skills:
o Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
o Familiarity with MS Excel is required

Eligibilities & qualifications

Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures with a keen awareness of aseptic technique in material formulations and consumable assembly. Awareness of Good Manufacturing Practices, (GMP) is preferred. Must follow all BD housekeeping and safety policies and procedures, Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements, Performs other duties as required.
