Quality Supervisor - Aerospace Manufacturing
- Supervise and support Quality Engineers and Technicians in daily activities.
- Supervise and assist in managing priorities in the Inspection department
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality procedures, including AS9100 and ISO requirements.
- Investigate nonconforming materials and products and lead root cause and corrective action activities.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement preventive measures.
- Conduct internal audits and support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
- Review and analyze quality metrics, trends, scrap reports, and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure calibration and control of inspection tools and measuring equipment.
- Train and mentor employees on quality standards, inspection methods, and aerospace compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate quality records and ensure documentation is complete and audit ready.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving process efficiency.
- Promote and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and accountability throughout the facility.
- Help drive improvements to the QMS.
- Lead AS9100 audit preparation and act as an active participant during AS9100 audits.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of quality experience in aerospace manufacturing or a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, and aerospace quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specifications.
- Experience working with nonconformance reports (NCRs), CAPAs, and supplier quality processes.
- Experience with inspection methods, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP or quality management systems.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of customer-specific aerospace requirements.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.
- Familiarity with MSA and Gage R&Rs.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software (i.e. Minitab, JMP, SAS, etc.)
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
