Education Support Coordinator
:
Under the direction of Education Department Director/Manager, provides support for the education office operations, education data management, and provides education activities for non-clinical hospital staff and community related programs.
- Maintains education records, data management, and computer-based education files, updates employee education records on regular basis through API Education Tracking system, HealthStream, and AHA life safety certification reports.
- Provides education to non-clinical hospital staff and serves as technology support for the implementation of continuing education programs.
- In conjunction with the educators, assists with simulation activities for hospital staff, individuals and community groups across the lifespan and the continuum of care.
- Assists with community education and coordinates community education schedules for the department.
- Develops and recommends quality and culturally diverse written and audio visual instructional materials.
- Assists in maintenance of appropriate continuing education documents/records to comply with regulatory standards.
- Assists in monitoring education department budget needs. Responsible for processing department invoices for purchased services.
- Assists in coordinating education programs including but not limited to, the production of education materials, class flyers, education calendar, handouts, and class postings as applicable.
- Maintains/updates the education calendar, room scheduling and room set up. Serves as a resource for classroom/meeting AV set up.
- Provides support for the AHA (American Heart Association) Coordinator including but not limited to, assisting with scheduling classes and instructors, monitoring class enrollment to maintain AHA guidelines related to instructor to student ratio, and monthly tracking of life safety expirations.
- Provides support for hospital programs in producing class materials and mail-outs related to specialty patient population program.
- Compiles required annual staff competency files.
- Attends all department staff meetings
- Attends meetings with Director/Manager as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Work requires a minimum of a High School diploma. Associate degree in business/related Field preferred.
Licensure: None.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of clerical office experience preferably in a healthcare setting. Recent experience utilizing multiple computer programs. Experience in Microsoft Office. Experience in API program and HealthStream preferred. Previous background in education operations preferred.
The hourly rate for this position is $30.17 - $36.20. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
