Material Handler I

PPS is seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler I for our semiconductor industry facility in Hayward, CA! The main responsibility of the employee will be to safely and accurately distribute material throughout the facility. Efficiency is key, as is the ability to follow written and verbal directions.

Responsibilities:

• Use Bar code Scanners.
• Ability to read and prepare standard forms related to MH and interpret data accurately.
• Identify and count components of multi-customer-related inventory.
• Crate products effectively and safely
• Accurately process and maintain receiving priority reports.
• Inspect for damage
• Properly store material for safe transport and storage
• Package components to multi-customer specifications
• Process and print basic reports
• Maintain and store files effectively.
• Ability to read and enter data accurately into the ERP System.
• Handle store Inventory in a manner to prevent damage and reduce waste.
• Use Hand Trucks, Pallet jackets, and Scales safely and effectively.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Use power hand tools effectively and safely.
• Cross-training and fluid transition between departments

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• One year’s experience related to the use of computer and ERP systems bar-coded software is highly desired.
• One year experience in any type of material distribution environment is a plus.
• High School Diploma (or G.E.D.).
• Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp.
• Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
• Ability to lift over 25 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to move arms, hands, and fingers.
• Ability to sit for sustained periods.
• Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.
• Forklift Certification and the use of Power tools are not required for all Material Handlers.
