Requirements
- Assess and monitor patient condition with compassion and clinical accuracy
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
- Use de-escalation and crisis-intervention techniques in behavioral health situations
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
- Educate patients and family members on care plans, medications, and safety measures
- Participate actively in orientation and unit-based quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (RN) in California or compact RN with California authorization
- Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) certification is a plus or as required for dual-role coverage
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience or comfort working in correctional or secure healthcare settings is highly desirable
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a calm, patient-focused approach to care
