Job Description and Duties
Under the general supervision of an Accounting Administrator II, the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) is responsible for managing security, workflow, and vendor maintenance activities for the Department's financial and reporting systems, CGI Advantage and infoAdvantage. The incumbent is also responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating a professional staff engaged in developing statewide security, user role, workflow, and vendor maintenance rules, updates, policies, procedures, and issue resolutions related to CGI Advantage and infoAdvantage. This responsibility extends to working effectively with IT staff, Communication Management Consultants, Budget Managers, Resource Managers, and Program Managers on a statewide level.

Working Conditions
Position located at 1820 Alhambra Blvd, Sacramento, Sacramento County.
Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment.
While at their base of operation, employees will work in a climate-controlled office under artificial light. However, due to periodic problems with the heating and air conditioning, the building temperature may fluctuate. Most employees will work in workstations within shared cubicles. Working hours will be set sometime between 6:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Overtime may be required and vacations may be restricted during peak times and fiscal year end closing. Employees may be required to travel in state, but travel is not frequent.
This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their work sites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.Special Requirements

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Understanding the security and workflow setups in modern electronic data processing software systems.
- Experience managing the vendor/customer record setup and maintenance in CGI Advantage Financial applications.
- Ability to analyze data, and develop and evaluate alternative proposals, make effective and appropriate recommendations to executive management concerning the resolution of complex data processing issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, the public, state, and other governmental agencies.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with various internal and external partners and key stakeholders.
- Ability to reason logically and creatively, utilizing a variety of analytical techniques to define accounting, managerial, administrative, and systems problems and determine a course of action that will bring about a resolution.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others.
- Ability to effectively select and train employees and evaluate their job performance.
