About the Role:

We’re looking for responsible, animal-loving individuals to join our growing team. This role is perfect for those seeking flexible, part-time work and who are comfortable working independently with a variety of pets.

Availability Requirements:

Candidates must have a flexible schedule , and be available for at least four days per week , totaling a minimum of 10 hours weekly . A 12-month commitment is required.

We have three main shift types:

• Split Shifts (Any Day): 7:30 AM–10:00 AM and 5:00 PM–8:00 PM
• Midday Shifts (Weekdays): 9:00 AM–2:00 PM

Job Responsibilities:

• Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments
• Ensure pets' safety and well-being
• Provide food, water, medication as needed
• Clean up after pets (during walks, in yards, or litter boxes)
• Follow owner instructions carefully
• Report any issues or concerns to supervisors or owners

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience caring for pets (your own or others')
• Flexible schedule & ability to work on short notice
• Commitment to working 10–20 hours per week
• Reliable vehicle with valid license, insurance & registration (required)
• Smartphone with a strong data plan
• Ability to walk 3+ miles per day and drive 30+ miles/day
• Comfortable handling large or untrained dogs
• Willingness to complete online training (CPR, First Aid, etc.)
• Available during peak holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
• Okay with cleaning pet messes and backyard waste

Service Areas:

You’ll be serving pet owners primarily in:

• Chula Vista (70%)
• Imperial Beach (20%)
• North Park (10%)

Compensation:

1-Hour Walk:

• $17.75 base pay
• ~$5 drive time
• ~$4.20 gas reimbursement (tax-free)
• ~$3 average tip
• Total: ≈ $29.45 per walk

Split Shift Bonus:

• Earn an additional $16.90 for completing both AM & PM shifts in a day!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.75 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
