Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Estimator to join our estimating team. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction estimating, with a focus on mechanical or refrigeration systems and proficiency in plan take-offs . You will assist senior estimators in preparing accurate and competitive bids, analyzing project drawings and specifications, and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans and specifications for commercial refrigeration projects.
• Perform detailed plan take-offs for materials, equipment, and labor.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, bid proposals, and project budgets.
• Request and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes for equipment and materials.
• Maintain organized documentation of estimates and revisions.
• Support senior estimators and project managers in preconstruction and budgeting efforts.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Stay current with industry standards, pricing, and new technologies in refrigeration systems.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within commercial refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical systems .
• Strong understanding of construction drawings , specifications, and plan take-offs .
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Stack or similar estimating software .
• Solid skills in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite .
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred but not required).
