Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler

Job Description

• We are seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to join our team in constructing large transformers.
• This role involves wiring transformers, installing circuit breakers, contactors, sheet metal, and circuit boards.
• You should be adept at working with larger cables, specifically 2 AWG (American Wire Gauge).
• 1st Shift: 6am to 2:30pm
• Pay Rate: $26/hr.

Responsibilities

• Follow work assignments, directions, instructions, and Work Order Schedule provided by the Production Lead.
• Familiarize yourself with wire gauges (AWG) and terminals, pins, lugs, and connectors typically used for wire harness fabrication.
• Review Assembly Instructions, Engineering Drawings, or Notes on the BOM.
• Use hand crimpers to create discrete wires and harnesses.
• Assemble electronics subassemblies to install harnesses.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Ensure efficiency requirements and quality standards are met consistently.
• Adhere to safety requirements and all safety policies.
• Determine job order requirements following production priorities.

Essential Skills

• Experience in assembly, particularly electromechanical assembly.
• Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical skills.
• Familiarity with blueprints, power tools, and electromechanical wiring.
• Knowledge of circuit breakers and crimping techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Electromechanical assembly experience, including crimping and wiring.
• Experience with soldering is a plus.
• Ability to lift units weighing 50 - 60 lbs, similar in size to a small refrigerator.

Job Type & Location

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Costa Mesa, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
