Builder - Data Engineer (Growth)

BUILDER – DATA ENGINEER (GROWTH)

LOCATION: On-site, SF / Santa Clara (minimum of 2 days in Santa Clara until SF office opens in Q3, then may need to travel 1 day per week to Santa Clara or on as needed basis)

WHO YOU ARE:

• Experienced Builder: You’ve built and scaled data infrastructure from the ground up at fast-moving startups to drive decision-making. You know how to balance speed and accuracy, especially in early-stage environments.

• Bias Towards Action: You thrive in zero-to-one environments, work quickly, and embrace ambiguity. You know when to ship fast and when to invest in long-term, durable solutions.

• Systems Thinker: You proactively identify opportunities to consolidate, simplify, and future-proof data architecture as volume and complexity of sources grow.

• Cross-Functional Partner: You’re as comfortable discussing schema design as you are enabling GTM teams to self-serve metrics.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Stand Up the Foundation: Architect and build core data pipelines, models, and infrastructure across the business, including analytics, machine learning, and operational use cases.

• Build for Scale: Design modular, extensible systems that scale with the business.

• Monitor & Maintain: Own the reliability and performance of critical pipelines. Establish alerting, testing, and documentation practices to support system stability.

• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with Analytics, Engineering, Product, and GTM teams to translate ambiguous needs into scalable data solutions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 4+ years of data engineering experience, preferably within B2B SaaS or AI-native platforms

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering

• Experience building data models and pipelines on top of large datasets from the ground up, preferably including sales and marketing data

• Expertise with SQL and Python

• Experience with modern data stack tools (Fivetran, Airflow, Snowflake, dbt, Census, or equivalents)

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating across GTM, product, and engineering

• Experience navigating dynamic startup environments, managing multiple priorities, and driving measurable outcomes
