Job Description:

As a Junior Accountant , you will assist the accounting department with day-to-day operations, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency. This role is perfect for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their career in the automotive accounting field. You will support the Senior Accountant and Controller, handling essential accounting tasks while gaining valuable industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and reconcile daily cash deposits , credit card transactions, and bank statements.

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, including invoice processing and payment tracking.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management.

Ensure accurate posting of transactions in the general ledger .

Conduct reconciliation of various accounts (bank, inventory, etc.).

Maintain and organize accounting records and documentation.

Support internal and external audits as needed.

Work closely with the dealership’s finance team to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely reporting.

Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing).

1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the automotive industry.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger functions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with CDK Global is a plus).

High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn.
