Operations Management Trainee
We are seeking an Entry Level Operations Management Trainee for a direct hire opportunity with a leading national truck-trailer rental and leasing organization in Fontana, CA. The Operations Management Trainee role offers structured mentorship, exposure to both branch operations and customer service, and a clear path toward future opportunities in operations management or business-to-business outside sales. This is an onsite role that combines outdoor yard operations with office-based customer service, account support, equipment management, and vendor coordination. Key Responsibilities - Support daily branch operations in a transportation yard and office environment, including equipment inspections, inventory, customer service, and administrative follow-up.- Assist customers with trailer rental needs, explain available rental options, and help identify appropriate equipment solutions.
- Inspect trailers using a handheld device, including checking for damage, equipment issues, and required repairs.
- Manage customer account activity, including credit support, collections assistance, and insurance verification.
- Coordinate repair assignments with vendors, trailer mechanics, and internal team members.
- Use technology systems to track inventory, manage equipment, document inspections, and complete operational tasks. Compensation and Benefits - Direct hire opportunity.

- Work arrangement: Onsite.
- Compensation: $50,000 annually.
- Office hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm.
- Available schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shift.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support branch operations through equipment inspections, inventory management, customer service, and repair coordination.- Assist customers with trailer rental needs, account questions, insurance verification, and service issue resolution.
- Use handheld devices and operational technology to document inspections, manage equipment, and complete daily tasks. - Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, or a similar field of study.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant customer-facing or internship experience.
- Ability and willingness to work in a role that is approximately 80 percent outdoors in a transportation yard and 20 percent in an office environment.
- Willingness to relocate out of state to another nationwide facility upon promotion into an operations or sales position.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Self-starter with strong motivation, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and a conscientious work style.
- Comfortable using technology, handheld devices, and business systems to complete operational tasks. Preferred Qualifications - Interest in building a long-term career in operations management, transportation, logistics, equipment rental, fleet operations, or B2B sales.
- Exposure to supply chain, logistics, transportation, customer account support, or rental operations.
- Strong interest in leadership development, customer relationship management, and branch-level business operations.
