Cost Accountant
Location : Pleasanton, CA - Hybrid

You are a Cost Accountant who will support the Finance team by ensuring the accurate reporting of cost of goods sold, manufacturing variances, and inventory accounting in compliance with GAAP. Reporting to the Director of Cost Accounting, this role partners closely with Operations to maintain accurate inventory systems, support month-end closing, and contribute to forecasting and budgeting efforts.​

This position pays: $40 to $45 per hour

What you will be doing:

• Serve as a financial partner to Operations for cost-related decisions
• Prepare and post journal entries for inventory and cost of goods sold
• Reconcile inventory-related balance sheet accounts
• Maintain and review inventory modules in BPCS for accuracy
• Assist with annual physical inventory coordination and documentation
• Generate reports for finance, tax, insurance, and census purposes
• Review debit memos and alert management of discrepancies
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing journal entries and maintaining records

What you bring:

• 5+ years of corporate accounting experience; cost accounting experience preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to learn quickly and handle tasks with minimal supervision
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
