PAYROLL SPECIALIST

Payroll isn’t just numbers here, it’s mission critical. Our client is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage complex, multi-entity payroll operations in a fast-paced trucking environment where accuracy, timing, and compliance keep the business moving.
Description
-Process in-house payroll and gather information on hours worked for up to 300 employees from a time management system
-Review and reconcile timecards and calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions etc. with assistance of a computer system
-Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
-Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
-Ensure compliance with government and state regulations
-Remit payroll taxes and governmental reporting
Requirements
Requirements
-3 + years of proven experience as a payroll specialist, trucking and agricultural experience is a plus
-Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
-Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
-Famous software experience a plus
-Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
-Outstanding organizational and detail-oriented
-Excellent communication skills
-Bilingual Spanish is a plus
