Job Title: HR Generalist (People & Culture Generalist)

Compensation: $85,000 – $90,000

About the Opportunity:
Vaco is partnering with a well-established company in the fashion/creative space to identify an HR Generalist (People & Culture Generalist) for their Beverly Hills headquarters. This individual will play a key role in creating a positive employee experience, driving engagement initiatives, and serving as a trusted go-to resource for employees. This is a highly visible role, working closely with the People & Culture Manager and leadership team.

What You’ll Do:

• Be the first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing thoughtful support on policies, leaves of absence, benefits, and workplace questions
• Take ownership of onboarding and orientation, ensuring every new hire feels welcomed and connected from day one
• Partner with the People & Culture Manager to brainstorm and execute engagement programs such as wellness activities, employee appreciation events, and team-building initiatives
• Maintain employee records and HR data with accuracy, ensuring compliance and smooth day-to-day operations
• Support leaders in handling employee relations questions with professionalism and discretion, escalating complex matters as needed
• Contribute to ongoing HR projects, process improvements, and culture-focused initiatives across the business

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in fashion, entertainment, or other creative-driven industries
• Strong background in employee engagement and event/program coordination for larger employee populations (500 )
• Working knowledge of HR operations, including onboarding, LOA, compliance, and employee support
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to build trust and rapport at all levels
• Proactive, service-minded approach with the energy to be the “face” of HR at HQ
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
