Autonomy Technical Program Manager
Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
Role Summary
The Autonomy TPM team plays a key role in driving the most important initiatives within the Autonomy organization at Rivian. If you are looking for a team that just takes notes or is just a scrum master, this is not it. This particular role is to support Rivian Intelligent Vehicle Evaluation Team (RIVET) Program that gathers real-world usage data and provides actionable, high-quality feedback on Autonomy features from a select group of key Rivian customers before features rollout to the broader customer fleet. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer experience and bridging the gap between the customer and the engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the RIVET platform, including communication moderation, incentives/reward distribution, focused feedback, member lifecycle, etc.
- Use AI tools to analyze community health and feedback trends for Autonomy features
- Work with engineering and product to ensure that feedback is high quality and actionable
- Exercise strong ownership over programs they lead, including diving into the technical details to drive smooth execution and briefing the SVP of Autonomy & AI on progress and risks
- Manage ambiguity by presenting options with a clear point of view for leadership, particularly concerning feature readiness, evaluation metrics, and performance trade-offs
- Understand the role of TPM as an insider/outsider, someone who drives accountability through influence and soft power rather than hard power and authority
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience in Technical Program Management on tech products
- Strong skills in community management and translating back and forth between customers and engineering teams
