This formal education must include substantial emphasis on Food Safety. + Master's Degree (MS) in disciplines related to Food Science or Food Safety is preferred. + 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience. + Working knowledge of the food manufacturing industry (production, processing, packaging, distribution, and consumption). Meaningful experience working within the Prepared Foods category is preferred. + Understanding of experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of results related to validation studies (food product shelf-life, ingredient functionality, and antimicrobial interventions). + Experience related to sensory analysis of prepared foods is strongly desired. + Working knowledge of GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) Auditing Schemes, and Certification Bodies. + Ability to conduct on-site audits at food manufacturing facilities. + Familiarity and experience with regulatory agencies responsible for governance over your category (FDA, USDA, state/local agencies). + Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% (typically travel every other week). **PAY TRANSPARENCY** A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $85,000.00-$119,500.00.
