Senior QA Automation Engineer, Microservices (Irvine, CA)

We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Senior Microservices Automation Engineer specializing in microservices testing. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in testing microservices infrastructure, working with databases, and supporting DevOps initiatives to improve software delivery pipeline. You will be part of the global QA organization playing a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability and high-quality standards of our applications while maintaining a high level of collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and execute functional, integration, and performance testing for microservices in a distributed architecture.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure to support microservice testing environments.
Perform database testing (including SQL queries, stored procedures, and schema validation) to ensure data integrity and performance.
Collaborate with the DevOps team to automate the deployment and testing of microservices through continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Leverage tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes to ensure infrastructure is optimized for microservices testing.
Collaborate closely with QA, developers, DevOps teams worldwide to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high quality.
Provide comprehensive reports and documentation on testing results, infrastructure performance, and QA metrics.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years+ proven experience in microservices testing and architecture , including functional and non-functional testing.
Proven expertise in major cloud languages such as Java, Go , and Python.
Hands-on experience with databases , including Redis, Postgres and MongoDB.
Strong background in DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Gitlab.
Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and containerized applications.
Experience with QA automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Robot, Postman).
Experience in scripting languages like Python , Bash , or Shell for test automation and infrastructure management.
Strong awareness for networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and distributed networks.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
Understanding of CI/CD pipeline design and best practices.
Experience in using test management tools (e.g cJIRA, Xray Test Management for JIRA).

Annual salary range: $100,000 - $150,000
