Job Description

RIVO is excited to welcome an experienced Staff Accountant to our team! In this role, you won’t be confined to just one area of the books—you’ll provide oversight to all facets of accounting operations for multiple entities while collaborating on special projects with colleagues at every level of the organization.

What You'll Do:

The Staff Accountant will support all facets of general accounting and payroll operations across multiple business entities within the company, ensuring compliance, and working cross-functionally on financial reporting projects across the organization. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of general ledgers, AR/AP, month-end closing, financial reporting and analysis, payroll, audits and tax preparation while providing comprehensive support to junior team members.

  • Maintain and review general ledger activity, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and assist preparing cash flow statements for final approval, verifying that all transactions are recorded accurately in the appropriate ledgers to successfully complete the posting process.
  • Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L and revenue reports across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide oversight of full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and financial statement preparation for multiple entities.
  • Research and resolve financial discrepancies, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting by analyzing historical data and providing financial insights to leadership as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Assist with preparation and filing of tax-related reports and company tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Partner with cross-functional departments (Sales, HR, Operations, etc.) to provide accounting support for special projects and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

What We Look For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA or progress towards CPA preferred.
  • At least 2-5 years of full-cycle accounting required.
  • Prior experience with Payroll is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of standard Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Payroll best practices, principles, and procedures.
  • Proficient in Accounting software and systems (e.g. ADP WorkforceNow, QuickBooks, SAP Concur).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexible and solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong ability to analyze, review, and approve standard accounting statements and reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with the utmost discretion.

Additional Information

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you will be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00. Individual salaries within those ranges takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; knowledge and skill sets; and other business and organizational needs.
