About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with job.com to find a qualified Stepdown RN in Los Angeles, California, 90230!
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Stepdown / Direct Observation Unit (DOU) in Los Angeles, CA. The RN will provide high-quality patient care to individuals requiring close monitoring but not intensive care unit (ICU) level support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / DOU setting
- Monitor patients with cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical conditions
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State of California) – must be in hand
- Minimum 2 years of Stepdown / DOU experience
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
