Remote Software Engineer, Design Systems

In this role, you'll have a significant impact on creating and refining design systems that help internal teams deliver exceptional user experiences. Your technical expertise will ensure the development of consistent, high-quality UI components that resonate with end users. You will lead initiatives, mentor fellow engineers, and drive best practices across the organization. Accountabilities

• Build, maintain, and update existing shared UI components for consistency across the system.
• Advise on UI/UX best practices, ensuring functional and refined components.
• Educate engineers on UX and design system guidance.
• Support product teams by creating new shared patterns or updating guidelines.
• Drive technical direction within the team and make key decisions for the design system.
• Identify and lead technical projects to develop reliable systems.
• Mentor junior team members through reviews and knowledge-sharing activities.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of industry experience in frontend engineering and design systems.
• Ability to drive complex technical initiatives independently.
• Experience in building shared UI components and developer tooling.
• Proficiency in system design and software architecture with a focus on user experience.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, and frontend performance optimization.
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and technical decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Openness to using AI to enhance skills and improve work efficiency.
