General Summary:

Join QCOM Technologies Inc vibrant Global CAD software team pushing the limits of the Snapdragon chips powering billions of mobile devices. The position requires both excellent knowledge of software development cycle and CI/CD pipeline and strong Python skills, to assist in the continuous efficiency improvement of the software development, testing and release for 50+ projects ranging from GenAI/ML design solutions to EDA tools reference flows. Qualcomm uses leading edge internal and EDA technologies in the ASIC domain.

This role's responsibilities will include:

• Continuous improvement of the software engineering platform such as new styleguides, python/editors/linters/formatter bundles enablement and release, enablement of large-scale changes and new pre-commit hooks for gitlab and TCL repositories etc.
• Drive the deployment to the 50+ repositories of the software engineering improvements, such as new styleguides or new linter/formatter levels.
• Drive and coordinate with IT the support effort to repository owners on branch merging, new repository creation, release.
• Coordinate the alignment of software engineering methods between software teams.
• Monitor and maintain observability tools for test coverage and adherence to the new software engineering features across repositories.
• Recommend roadmap of new software engineering tools and features based on industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 1-5 years in a DevOps role
• Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines and software release systems

• Strong Python coding skills, including good coding practices
• Exposure to web app dashboards generation and observability tools such as Splunk.
• Passion for software development efficiency.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and release software engineering bundles to the software team.
• Interface with all repository owners and software architects to define the roadmap of software engineering improvement.
• Interface with IT and site-based DevOps champions to coordinate support to the software teams.
• Develop dashboards to monitor both code quality indicators such as unit test coverage and the adoption of new software engineering features.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience. OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits :

$140,000.00 - $210,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
