Responsibilities (What You'll Do)
- Architect and build scalable, high-performance backend systems utilizing modern languages, including Python , Go , Rust , and WebAssembly
- Utilize various cloud services, such as Amplify, Lightsail, and Fargate, to construct a robust and secure infrastructure
- Work with both relational databases, like PostgreSQL , and NoSQL solutions, such as MongoDB and vector databases
- Work in close partnership with the foundational engineering team to deliver features that have a high impact
- Be given the opportunity to influence the overall direction and product vision of the platform
Qualifications and Experience (Requirements)
- A minimum of 2+ years of full-time, post-graduate software engineering experience is required
- Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages like Python and Go
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS services (Amplify, Lightsail, Fargate), and the implementation of Access Control Lists (ACL)
- Experience with various databases, including PostgreSQL , MongoDB , and Vector Databases
- Must be adaptive and able to move quickly, capable of rapid response and changing projects as needed (you will not be responsible for more than two codebases concurrently)
- Must have the ability to work during standard Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
