Nursery Job Coach

Achievement House, nestled in the scenic San Luis Obispo, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Job Coach to join our team. We are committed to empowering individuals and fostering growth, and this role is integral to that mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of the Nursery, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. While this role does not involve supervisory duties, it offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission and make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.

Responsibilities

• Ensure services comply with applicable State and Federal regulations.
• Uphold the rights of individuals, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
• Adhere to company programs, practices, and policies specific to program and client management.
• Report any suspected incidents of abuse, neglect, or sexual assault promptly and accurately.
• Conduct safety meetings and drills, and maintain related records.
• Submit all required paperwork by the deadline.
• Provide continuous instructions for work specific to vocational growth and training objectives.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitized environment, in accordance with the Department of Health Standards and Regulations.
• Monitor contract requirements to ensure quality of workmanship and customer expectations are met.
• Assist individuals with coordination of transportation to and from the job site.
• Maintain a courteous, positive, and professional demeanor while working with individuals and the community.

Qualifications

• A high school education or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience working with developmentally disabled adults is preferred.
• Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and provide on-going proof of current state required auto insurance.
• Ability to successfully complete First Aid / CPR training is mandatory.
• Strong English oral and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload.

Compensation

The anticipated rate for this position is $23 per hour plus a $250 hiring bonus.
